I rode my bike over to Barclays Center after work today. This has been a central location for protests, rallies and marches throughout the last 8 days. The front of the arena was eerily calm besides a gaggle of police. I was struck with curiosity and a grin as I saw them taking shelter from the sun in the tiniest sliver of shade. When I captured this photograph it was too bright for me to see much more other than a basic composition that I was satisfied with. However, when I got home and loaded the photo onto my computer I saw a quote on the marquee above; “The time is always right to do what is right.” - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
